Miniature Dwarf Bearded Irises are both the smallest (up to 8") and earliest blooming of the bearded irises. They herald spring like sparkling jewels strewn about an awakening garden. They form tidy round clumps generously adorned with blooms in a wide variety of colors and patterns. MDBs are particularly well suited for planting along the front of a border, in rock gardens, or in drifts for a sea of early color. They perform best in areas with prolonged periods of winter freeze.
